Hey there! I’m Emily Berger.
I’m so excited to meet you. Seriously! A huge part of my love for photography is interacting with you. People are my favorite and I absolutely love capturing your moments. So, until we meet in person (and I really hope we do!), here are some facts about me:
- I am from Alexandria, MN and have lived here since I was 3.
- I attended Bethel University in St. Paul, MN where I graduated in December of 2019 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Biology.
- I studied Communication Design at Alexandria Technical & Community College and graduated in May of 2023. I love to learn!
- It is a widely known fact that peanut butter & banana shakes are my favorite.
My Photography StoryI've always had the desire to learn photography and bought my first camera when I was fifteen. But, it stayed in the drawer. It wasn't until I graduated from Bethel (and had some time) that I began exploring my interests and figuring out what I love apart from school. This is when I dove into photography, quickly fell in love, and found out I was pretty good! I started by recruiting my friends as models. 5-weeks later, I was asked to take family pictures for my first paid shoot - and it made their Christmas card! Now, I've invested in higher quality equipment (much better than the camera I stuck in a drawer at age 15!) and am ready to take whatever photos you would like! As I've taken the time to further explore photography, my love has grown to more than just getting the mechanics and angles right - which is why I enjoy taking pictures of people rather than objects. I strive to give you a product that you are proud to show off and most importantly, reminds you of how valuable you are. |
